    Good morning, I am writing on behalf of my wife who just went through one of your random training sessions … on our house! She was home alone, and at 9:50am, a ladder truck pulled up, went through the full extent of supporting the truck, then extended the ladder over our house. My wife called me in a panic, thinking that something was wrong with our house and scared for her safety! I talked her down and asked her to go outside and talk with the firefighters … who calmly informed her that this was a routine and random training drill, testing out their new ladder truck ... and that we were the lucky house!? They were very friendly and informative, but that is not the issue here. If the CFD is going to perform random training drills on residential dwellings, they should first make sure the homeowner/resident is aware of the drill PRIOR to starting. Additionally, it is private property, and the fire fighters shouldn’t be walking throughout the property with no regard or respect for the property without prior approval. In an emergency, it is understandable, but for a drill, not so much. My wife does not have a health condition, but if this were a senior's house who had a heart condition, who knows what the end result could have been? As a suggestion in the future, PLEASE make the resident aware of any training drill going on that involves their residence BEFOREHAND to avoid any miscommunication or unintended issue.
