Although I did express observation that during my appointment that it took approx two hours, was cycled through six examination rooms, back to the waiting rooms before finally finished. One cannot help but think there could be some efficiencies in that process. Please don't focus on that observation. My primary complaint is that at my original referral appointment for cataracts, I would be required to return for measurements prior to my surgery. Additionally, at that time, I was informed that there was a $150 charge due at that appointment. Even when contacted to confirm the appointment, I was again reminded of the $150 charge. Not having gone through this before, I naturally assumed the charge was mandatory. After speaking with three other individuals that have had cataract surgery, they stated that they did not have to pay anything. So, at this appointment I inquired about the cost.
